Cloud Engineer

Company Description FLO Clinics is a comprehensive clinic management platform that supports daily operations from patient check-in through final invoicing. The platform enables clinics to manage appointments, patient records, ophthalmology and dental records, prescriptions, and financial workflows in one integrated system. It also includes modules for reporting, vendors, inventory, branches, employees, user permissions, and system settings to streamline administrative tasks.

Built for clinic owners, administrators, doctors, reception, and accounting staff, FLO Clinics is designed to improve coordination, accuracy, and efficiency across the entire care journey. Team communication is supported through integrated internal chat, helping clinics deliver a more organized and responsive patient experience.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cloud Engineer role based in Al Jizah, Egypt.

The Cloud

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure to support the FLO Clinics platform and its related services. Daily tasks include provisioning and configuring cloud resources, optimizing performance, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues in collaboration with software development and operations teams. The role involves implementing backup and recovery strategies, managing access and security policies, and ensuring high availability and reliability of production environments.

The Cloud

Engineer will also contribute to automation, documentation, and continuous improvement of deployment and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Cloud Computing and Infrastructure skills, with experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Linux administration, including system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including performance tuning, backup, and basic schema management.
• Background in Software Development or scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) to support automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancers, DNS, firewalls) and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare or clinic management platforms is a plus but not required.
