Projecx is a Business Development Studio building its own SaaS platforms — Subrate (brand intelligence), Bandora CMS, Revenyu CRM — alongside AI services and digital platforms for government, real estate, and commercial clients across the Middle East . We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to own infrastructure, deployments, and reliability across our full portfolio: our own products, our AI services, and the products we build and run for our clients.
What you'll do
- Own CI/CD pipelines for our NestJS/Node.js, Next.js, and Laravel applications across multiple products, clients, and environments
- Deploy and operate a diverse portfolio of projects simultaneously — each with its own stack, hosting arrangement, and client requirements
- Run the infrastructure behind our AI services: LLM API integrations, vector search (PostgreSQL + pgvector), embedding pipelines, RAG workloads, and MCP-based gateway services
- Manage GPU/inference workloads, model-serving endpoints, and the cost, latency, and rate-limit characteristics of AI-heavy products
- Manage and harden our PostgreSQL, Redis, and BullMQ-based queue infrastructure powering ingestion and background AI jobs
- Containerize services with Docker and manage staging/production environments for both in-house SaaS and client deployments
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and uptime SLAs across all live platforms — including observability for AI pipelines and token/usage cost tracking
- Own backup, disaster recovery, and security posture — several of our clients are government entities with strict compliance and data-residency expectations
- Automate provisioning of new client environments so every new project spins up fast and consistently
- Support the engineering team with environment issues, performance tuning, and infrastructure cost optimization
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE roles running production Node.js and/or PHP workloads
- Comfortable context-switching across many concurrent projects and client environments
- Strong with Docker, Nginx, Linux server administration, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in production
- Practical experience deploying AI/LLM-backed applications — API integrations, vector databases, queue-driven inference, or self-hosted models
- Cloud experience (AWS, DigitalOcean, or equivalent) — provisioning, networking, DNS, SSL
- Security-first mindset: SSH hardening, secrets management, WAF, DDoS mitigation, incident response
- Scripting ability (Bash, Node.js, or Python) for automation
Nice to have
- Kubernetes or container orchestration experience
- Self-hosted model serving (vLLM, Ollama, Triton) or GPU instance management
- Experience with UAE government hosting/compliance requirements or on-prem/ESB integrations
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible)
- MLOps tooling and AI observability (LangSmith, Langfuse, or similar)
- Malware remediation and server forensics experience
- Arabic language skills
