Draftsman

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Generic Draftsman to join our growing Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, developing, and revising technical drawings and documentation based on engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements. The role involves producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, company procedures, and project requirements.

Experience in drafting multidisciplinary engineering drawings is required (Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Electrical, etc.)

Duties &

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed engineering and construction drawings using CAD software.
• Convert design concepts, sketches, calculations, and specifications into technical drawings.
• Produce General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and detail drawings.
• Revise drawings based on engineering comments, client feedback, and project changes.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and company specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to clarify design requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before issue.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs and drawing-related documentation where required.
• Maintain proper filing and archiving of project drawings and records.
• Support project execution by providing timely updates and revisions to drawings.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certification in AutoCAD or other drafting software is an advantage.
• 5 years of drafting experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Experience with multidisciplinary engineering drawings is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and drafting principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and technical data.
• Familiarity with document control systems.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software is an advantage (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, MicroStation, or Plant 3D).
