Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Microservices Solution Designer to join our team and take ownership of translating business and technical requirements into clear, scalable, and implementable microservices solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who is strong technically, understands Java, microservices deeply, and can work effectively with clients, Solution Architects, developers, and multiple technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and technical teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Lead technical discussions and ask the right questions to identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and integration requirements.
• Translate requirements into microservices-based solution designs.
• Define microservice boundaries, responsibilities, dependencies, APIs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Prepare and maintain High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Design RESTful APIs and define API contracts between services and external systems.
• Define synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns between services.
• Collaborate with integration, database, DevOps, security, infrastructure, and other teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment.
• Evaluate technical options and document key design decisions and assumptions.
• Ensure solutions follow Java and microservices best practices, including scalability, resilience, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with development teams during implementation and provide technical clarification and guidance.
• Review technical implementations against the approved solution design.
• Identify potential technical issues early and propose appropriate solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and technical walkthroughs with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of strong experience in Java. microservices development and architecture, and enterprise application development
• Extensive hands-on experience with Spring boot, Kubernetes and microservices architecture is a must.
• Experience with Quarkus framework is a big plus.
• Experience working with Event Driven Architecture using Kafka is a big plus.
• Proficiency in java and expert in microservice architecture
• Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise Java microservices.
• Experience producing HLD/LLD and other technical design documentation.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or multi-team environments.
• Experience developing and delivering using Agile methodologies
• Experience building, shipping, and maintaining reliable and scalable backend services on a container-based platform preferably Openshift
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, Solution Architects, developers, and other technical teams.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, design patterns, object-oriented-programming(OOP), frameworks and technologies
• Comfortable challenging requirements and asking difficult but necessary questions.
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions in a simple and structured manner.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and drive technical alignment.
