Java Team Lead (Angular)

Role Description The Java Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role is responsible for leading a team of Java developers, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing code, guiding technical decisions, ensuring adherence to best practices, and coordinating with product owners and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver features on time.

Lead mentors team members, supports performance evaluations, and promotes continuous improvement in development processes, testing, and documentation. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to architectural discussions.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java development, including core Java, object-oriented programming, and common frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot).
• Experience with backend technologies such as RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proficiency in software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing development teams, delegating tasks, and providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Ability to gather and analyze requirements, estimate effort, and plan sprints or development cycles in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to handle complex technical issues and performance optimization.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in enterprise-grade applications or managed services environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and modern software architecture patterns is beneficial.
