Program Manager (Pharma Background)

About the Role

As a Program Manager, you'll drive the planning, execution, and delivery of programs that serve our pharmaceutical clients, ensuring alignment with industry regulations, quality standards, and client expectations. You'll bridge the gap between our technical teams and the unique compliance, validation, and regulatory needs of the pharma industry. This role suits someone who understands both program management fundamentals and the nuances of working in a regulated healthcare/pharma environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of programs for pharmaceutical/life sciences clients
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Regulatory, Product, Client Success) to ensure program milestones are met
• Ensure programs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR as applicable)
• Manage program risks, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders on program status, risks, and deliverables
• Support validation and documentation processes required for regulated software systems
• Track program performance against KPIs and report to internal and client leadership
• Facilitate change management and ensure smooth adoption of solutions within client organizations
• Identify process improvements to increase program delivery efficiency and quality

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of program/project management experience, with meaningful experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry
• Strong understanding of pharma industry regulations and compliance requirements (GxP, FDA regulations, validation processes, etc.)
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving both technical and regulatory/compliance teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with pharma clients
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, or related)

Nice to Have

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
• Experience with computer system validation (CSV) or software used in regulated environments
• Background working at a pharma company, CRO, or software vendor serving the pharma industry
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory documentation
