Python Back-end Developer

Role Description The Python Back-end Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and APIs that power PoultrySync’s digital solutions.

The developer will implement clean, efficient, and scalable code in Python, integrate data sources and third-party services, and collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless system performance. Daily tasks include troubleshooting and optimizing back-end components, participating in code reviews, writing documentation, and working closely with product and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Back-End Web Development and Software Development skills, with experience building and maintaining scalable server-side applications.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming principles, including clean code practices and design patterns.
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development to collaborate effectively on API design and integration.
• Experience with Django (Minimum 2 years experience) , RESTful APIs, and database technologies ( SQL and/or NoSQL ).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in agricultural technology, IoT, or data-driven platforms is a plus.
