Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Design Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt.

The Structural Design

Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for industrial facilities and energy sector projects, ensuring safety, integrity, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily tasks include developing and reviewing structural drawings and models, preparing design calculations and technical reports, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project managers. The role involves using CAD tools to produce detailed designs, supporting EPC project execution, and providing technical input during procurement, construction, and installation phases. The engineer will also contribute to design optimization, digital design practices, and continuous improvement of engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to industrial and energy-related projects.
• Proficiency in Structural Analysis, including load calculations, design of steel and concrete structures, and verification of structural integrity against codes and standards.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and AutoCAD for creating, reviewing, and modifying structural drawings and models.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Familiarity with EPC project environments, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams and exposure to oil, gas, petrochemical, or renewable energy projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver accurate work within project timelines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and contractors in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with relevant structural design software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS) and knowledge of international and local design codes is an advantage.
