Role Description The Supervisor Application Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role oversees a team of application developers, guiding the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions that support Xceed’s BPO and customer experience operations. Daily activities include managing project timelines, assigning tasks, reviewing code and technical designs, and ensuring adherence to development standards and security best practices.

The Supervisor collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and drive continuous improvements in existing systems and applications. The role also involves mentoring team members, coordinating with infrastructure and operations teams, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to research and development initiatives that enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of Xceed’s technology platform.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Development and Programming, including experience with modern application architectures, frameworks, and coding best practices.
• Candidates should possess capabilities in Research and Development (R&D), especially in exploring new technologies, optimizing existing solutions, and driving innovation in application design.
• Candidates should possess knowledge in Polymers and Materials Science when relevant to specialized engineering applications, interfaces, or products integrated with Xceed’s solutions.
• Demonstrated experience supervising or leading development teams, with proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Solid understanding of software lifecycle management, version control, testing methodologies, and secure coding practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose practical solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications in software engineering or project management are an advantage.
