Role Description This is a part-time remote Math Teacher role focused on delivering engaging, high-quality math instruction to learners in a virtual environment.

The Math

Teacher will plan and deliver online lessons, create and adapt instructional materials, and use digital tools to explain mathematical concepts clearly and accessibly. Daily responsibilities include assigning and reviewing practice work, providing feedback, evaluating learner progress, and offering additional support through virtual office hours or one-on-one sessions. The role also involves collaborating with coordinators or other educators to align content with curriculum standards and ensuring an inclusive, respectful learning experience for all students.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of core and advanced math topics (e.g., arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving) and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and basic educational technology used for remote instruction.
• Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal explanations tailored to different learning styles and levels.
• Organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, track progress, and manage part-time remote teaching schedules.
• Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Prior experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics, preferably in an online or blended learning setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications are an advantage.
• Comfort working independently, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
