I’m Dr/ Ahmed Mohamed Samy a professor of Orthopedic and Traumatology in Orthopedic department at Tanta faculty of medicine and University hospitals which includes an outpatient clinic and two major inpatient teaching hospitals (1000+ beds in total) in addition to an emergency hospital. I’m also a head of arthroplasty unit in orthopedic department which is a one of six specialist units in my department. My initial Master’s degree and medical doctorate degree thesis were in the field of hip and arthroplasty surgery.
My master’s degree thesis title was (Evaluation of the results of fixation of unstable trochanteric fracture with hooked contoured plate) at Tanta University which conducted between 2001- 2004 My medical doctorate thesis was (Evaluation of metal on metal total hip arthroplasty in arthritic hip) at Tanta University Hospitals, which conducted between 2006-2011 During the period between 2011 till now I was involved in the supervision of many masters’ degree thesis and medical doctorate thesis for candidates in the Orthopedic department at Tanta University (list below) During the same period, I published several research papers in the field orthopedic and arthroplasty surgery. I was invited as a master and medical doctorate degree thesis defense examiner at Tanta, Menofia, and many national universities.
