PETROLEUM ENGINEER, SINAI FIELDS, BELAYIM PETROLEUM COMPANY - EGYPT
SEPTEMBER 2015-OCTOBER 2021
I worked as part of the Petroleum Engineering Department in the field where the workflow involved interaction with other teams such as both the Reservoir Engineering and Artificial Lift teams in the office and both the Workover and Production teams in the field. Throughout this period, I was assigned several responsibilities as listed below
- Monitoring reservoir pressure and well productivity through the analysis and calculation of fill-up tests recorded during workover operations in addition to static bottom hole pressure surveys
- Submitting proposals for the re-completion of high water cut wells by changing levels or changing the employed artificial lift type together with other proposed actions
- Supervising perforation jobs (both TCP and casing gun) on rig site after performing Gamma Ray correlation with the open hole log to ensure correct perforation interval
- Supervising CBL (Cement Bond Log), RMT/RST and PLT logs on rig site and providing quicklook interpretation to the upper management
- Supervising water shutoff (such as B. Plug setting) and well stimulation (such as Acid & N2 lifting) jobs on rig site and reporting to the upper management
- Designing rigless programs for the recording of static bottom hole pressure surveys in selective wells
- Well test analysis and interpretation using Ecrin Sapphire software mainly for some build-up tests recorded in certain offshore wells
- Monitoring ESP pump performance through ESP sensor readings for pressures (intake & discharge) and temperatures after updating the sensor chart relative to each well
- Sucker rod pump design using SROD software by Lufkin
