• Conduct in-depth analysis of tender documents and provide instructions to bidders, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Expertly prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities for diverse projects, tailoring electric material forms (including consolidation and quality forms) to meet specific client needs.
• Develop and dispatch detailed Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to suppliers (including bill of material, tender form, guarantee schedule, technical data schedule, and project scope), effectively sourcing offers and analyzing them for technical compliance with client's specifications.
• Collaborate with major suppliers like Schneider Electric, GE, Siemens, Hitachi ABB, Chint, and Midal Cables, ensuring top-quality material sourcing.
• Conduct meticulous cost analysis post-offer collection, providing the Dry Cost Pricing Team with material cost insights and reviewing commercial terms, Incoterms, and payment conditions.
• Spearhead the creation of technical proposals, incorporating elements like supplier names, technical data schedules, drawings, manufacturer experience, quality documentation, and catalogs, tailored to client-specific requirements.
• Take charge of Quantity Estimation and Bill of Quantities for key project components such as Electrical Substations, Overhead Transmission Lines, and MV/LV Infrastructure networks, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Occasionally create technical drawings, including a Single Line diagram for a small station, demonstrating versatility in technical documentation.
• Conduct overseas site visits and thorough site surveys, assessing project interconnections, clearance for new transmission lines, electrical boards, and soil conditions, and resolving any potential clashes.
• Lead Pre-bid meetings, independently discussing technical constraints and contributing significantly to project strategy and planning.
• Engage in client classification and negotiations, handling projects in diverse countries including French-speaking regions in Africa (Angola, Ghana, UAE, Uganda, Benin, Burundi, South Africa, Botswana), demonstrating strong international exposure and communication skills.
• Proactively involve in post-award processes as needed, particularly in commercial aspects, and negotiate pre-bid agreements for special discounts, showcasing strong negotiation and strategic skills.
• Successfully developed and submitted approximately 40 proposals in 2022 and a total of around 120 proposals since 2019, exclusively in the electrification sector.
• Play a pivotal role in securing high-value projects through effective proposal development, including significant EPC projects in the electric energy sector.
