University teacher assistant at AAST college of management and technology, MBA holder. phd Student in Accounting University of Minho, Portugal.
While in Egypt, I served as a Teacher Assistant in the College of Management Finance and Accounting Department. This experience equipped me with valuable teaching and mentorship skills, which I believe are essential for an academic role. My passion for teaching and my dedication to helping students excel in their studies have always been at the forefront of my career aspirations.
My commitment to academic growth led me to relocate to Portugal five years ago, where I have been diligently working on my Ph.D. My temporary resident card and valid working permit in Portugal have allowed me to gain practical experience as a Service Desk Agent at Fujitsu for four years. During my tenure at Fujitsu, I provided IT support for the ING project in both English and French, acquiring a wealth of IT knowledge and problem-solving skills.
This diverse experience has not only broadened my horizons but also honed my ability to adapt to new challenges and work collaboratively within a multicultural environment.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mona Helmy, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal. My research area centers on "Restoring Public Trust: Accountability in Egyptian Charities." This research has not only deepened my understanding of accountability within charitable organizations but has also allowed me to develop critical research and analytical skills.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a Master's Degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Egypt, with a commendable GPA of 3.75. My undergraduate major was accounting, which laid a solid foundation for my academic journey.
