Manage the effective achievement of warehouses and logistics objectives through the leadership of the subordinates – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal- to maximize subordinate and the performance of the department.
Prepare and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Recommend improvements to warehouses and logistics policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost–effective service.
Supervise the day-to-day operations of warehouses and logistics to ensure that the work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.
Manages warehousing and activities and compliance for inventory management, cycle counting, product handling, and other services as required.
Manage and monitor each warehouse’s business section’s performance.
Maintaining and improving overall operational and departmental inefficiencies.
Maintaining and improving the documentary cycle for the warehouses.
Keep stock control systems up to date and plan future capacity requirements.
Meet or exceed established goals relative to on-time delivery and shipping accuracy performance for customer shipments.
Check, verify, and analyze shipping records, handle questions or concerns about shipping shortages or overages, and address problems with inventory control.
Provides warehouse safety leadership and is responsible for improved safety performance in the facility.
