Tech Pipeline helps operations teams resolve the technical friction that slows down their business. Our partner is a Mediterranean financial services firm that currently faces challenges with their internal application routing and data flows. We are looking for an Associate Web Developer to help us identify where their systems are failing and implement concrete fixes that allow their team to function without constant manual intervention.
About the role Working as an Associate Web Developer at Tech Pipeline means focusing on the practical reality of how code serves a business. For our Mediterranean financial services partner, you will be tasked with untangling the middle office tools that manage their client data and transaction approvals.
The role involves looking at broken routing rules and identifying why information is not reaching the correct source of truth. This is a fully remote position that requires a disciplined approach to troubleshooting and a focus on building systems that the client can eventually run on their own.
What you will be doing
- Reviewing system logs to find where data transitions are failing between web interfaces and backend databases.
- Updating and testing routing rules to ensure that financial approval chains follow the correct internal logic.
- Fixing front end bugs in internal dashboards to reduce the friction felt by the client operations team.
- Participating in the reconciliation of data sets by writing scripts that identify mismatches across different systems.
- Documenting technical changes and system configurations clearly so the partner team understands the new workflows.
- Assisting with the deployment of small code updates to internal tools during live operation windows.
- Performing routine checks on API connections to ensure external financial data is populating correctly.
- Testing new web forms to verify that user inputs are validated and stored without loss of data.
What we need from you
- Basic knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
- A fundamental understanding of how backend logic processes data, perhaps through Python or Node.
- Effective writing skills for creating clear technical guides and project updates.
- High attention to detail when examining configuration files or complex logs for errors.
- A preference for working in a fully remote setting where communication happens primarily through text and documentation.
- A disciplined approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn the specifics of financial operations.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Interest in the technical mechanics of how data moves through a large organization.
Helpful background
- Previous experience through a web development internship or a technical university project.
- Basic familiarity with SQL and how to query relational databases.
- Exposure to how financial services or banking applications handle transaction flows.
What the role offers
- A permanent, full time position with a company that values remote work as a core policy.
- Direct experience fixing real world production issues for a significant Mediterranean financial partner.
- Competitive payment that is attractive for an entry level technical role in today's market.
- The opportunity to focus on deep technical work without the distraction of unnecessary corporate layers.
- Structured mentorship that focuses on reading logs, tracing problems, and writing sustainable code.
- Access to a team that prioritizes ground truth and technical accuracy over high level strategy.
Working at Tech Pipeline
Our culture is built on the idea that good documentation and clear updates are more valuable than a day full of meetings. We work remotely, but we stay very close to the technical reality of the systems we fix. At Tech Pipeline, we do not stay for long term retainers: we fix the problem, ensure it works for the operators, and then we hand over the keys. You will be expected to contribute to this process by keeping your work organized and your communication direct. We value people who find satisfaction in seeing a backlog cleared and a system running smoothly without our help.
