Cloud Data Engineer (GCP) – Senior / Architect Focus

We are looking for a senior Cloud Data Engineer with strong architecture and design expertise to support enterprise-level data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

📍 Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

⏳ Duration: 3 months (extension possible)

🗣 Languages: English & Spanish (mandatory)

Role Overview

This role goes beyond hands-on engineering — we need someone who can lead solution design, guide customers, and architect scalable data platforms on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on GCP
• Lead end-to-end data platform design (data lakes, warehouses, pipelines)
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical architecture
• Support customers throughout the solution design and delivery lifecycle
• Ensure best practices in data quality, governance, and performance optimization

Required Skills

• 5 years in cloud data engineering (GCP preferred)
• Strong expertise in BigQuery, SQL, Airflow, and data ingestion frameworks
• Proven experience in data architecture (batch & streaming pipelines)
• Solid programming skills in Python
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification (mandatory)
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Must be based in Spain
