DATA ENGINEER (with Azure) - Permanent opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a Swiss client for their IT hub in Barcelona.

In this role, you will be a key player in transforming raw data into strategic insights, supporting a global organization’s decision-making process.

This is a permanent position within a stable, international end-client environment.

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to prepare data for final analysis and visualization.
• Data Modeling: Develop and manage data models that accurately reflect business operations and support reporting needs.
• Cloud Management: Work within the Azure ecosystem, managing Microsoft Data Lake and Azure Fabric to ensure seamless data flow.
• Optimization: Ensure high system performance and data integrity while monitoring and optimizing Azure costs.
• Collaboration: Partner with BI analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical data products.
• Quality Assurance: Implement data quality frameworks to ensure high consistency and reliability across all data layers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Cloud Expertise: Mandatory hands-on experience with Azure Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Microsoft Data Lake, and Azure Fabric.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Advanced English is a must

Working Mode: Remote. If residing in Barcelona, office attendance is required once every two weeks.
