As a Data Lead, you will define and shape the organisation's Data Platform and Data Strategy while leading a team of Data Engineers. You will combine technical leadership with hands-on expertise, ensuring scalable, reliable, and future-ready data solutions that enable enterprise-wide, data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a global team of Data Engineers, fostering strong technical and delivery standards.

• Define and drive the Data Platform vision, roadmap, and long-term Data Strategy.

• Design and oversee scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud-based data solutions.

• Establish best practices for data modeling, Data Engineering, and Lakehouse architecture.

• Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic needs.

• Ensure data quality, governance, performance, and compliance across the global Data Platform.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including leadership or Data Lead responsibilities.

• Strong hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered).

• Expertise in BigQuery, Dataproc, Datastream, SQL, Python, and DBT/Dataform.

• Experience with event-driven data pipelines, CDC ingestion, and Kappa architectures.

• Deep understanding of modern Lakehouse, data mesh concepts, and cloud data governance. xugodme

• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and Agile delivery environments.
