Datacenter Networks Squad (Palo Alto)

Your key responsibilities
- Actively contribute to an agile working environment by participating in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the squad to achieve shared objectives from a common backlog.
- Take ownership of reporting activities and guide the squad to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively support other squads within the area and the broader tribe, acting as a trusted advisor when needed.
- Leverage video conferencing and collaboration tools to enable effective communication across distributed teams.
What are we looking for?
- Experience implementing, configuring, and modifying network infrastructure.
- Ability to make strong conceptual connections and critically assess network designs from both technical and security perspectives.
- Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN, and DC environments.
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols in a highly available environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with firewall products.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
- Ability to manage Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes.
- Understanding of the technical implications of security and risk principles.
- Clear understanding of consumer context and needs, and the value-add of your service to the consumer.
- Knowledge of Scrum methodology (backlog and sprint planning, review, and marketplace).
- Strong analytical skills and insight into structural infrastructure solutions.
- Experience creating and improving documentation and work instructions for deployed infrastructure.
- Certifications in Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PCNSA/E) or similar.
- Experience in cloud deployment and infrastructure services is a plus.
- Experience or knowledge of Open Networking platforms is a plus.
- Experience with orchestration platforms such as Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, Azure Automation, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Programming/scripting experience in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of the DevOps way of working (continuous delivery, cross‑functional team setups, development of cross‑skilled squad members).
Your education, background & other competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
- Certifications or proven proficiency in networking and security.
- Certifications or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- A mindset of openness and willingness to try new ways of working and technologies.
