As Director of Learning, you will function as the principal designer of our transformative learning ecosystem for a dedicated school model spanning multiple campuses. Driven by an absolute focus on student success, you will leverage AI to develop hyper-personalized learning pathways tailored to each student’s distinct needs, interests, and goals.

Your work will combine strategic, data-informed planning with direct, hands-on involvement. You will analyze learning data in depth, extracting critical insights to fuel exponential student growth. You will interact directly with students to grasp their experiences, obstacles, and achievements. These direct observations will inform your identification of the precise motivational and instructional techniques required to eliminate achievement barriers across all campuses.

What You Will Be Doing

Designing and iteratively refining an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses conventional education, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics

Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to comprehend their learning journeys, obstacles, and victories, translating these insights into ongoing enhancements of the learning ecosystem

Extracting actionable intelligence from learning platform data and engineering high-impact academic interventions that integrate AI/ML, learning science, and best practices in motivation

Fostering a culture of ambitious experimentation and data-informed decision-making, utilizing evidence to generate breakthrough improvements in student growth patterns

Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into intuitive product improvements

What You Won’t Be Doing

Wrapping traditional schooling in an AI veneer. This role is not about transferring classroom teaching to digital screens – we are reimagining the learning process entirely.

Conducting data analysis in a vacuum. Regular interaction with K-12 students is expected, and their feedback is valued as critical input from our primary customers.

Awaiting broad agreement before challenging norms. You will advance a courageous vision and mobilize others through data-driven outcomes.

Adhering to established methods. You will have the freedom to explore novel strategies in motivation, assessment, and instruction.

Viewing AI as a threat to education. In this role, you will embrace AI as a powerful instrument to transform learning, not a risk to be managed.

Director Of Learning Key Responsibilities Lead innovation in AI-powered, teacher-free education to produce outstanding student results across multiple campuses. Combine analytical rigor with consistent student interaction to perpetually refine our learning ecosystem, as evidenced by AP exam scores and MAP assessment growth.

Basic Requirements

Master\'s degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field

Leadership experience in education or EdTech

Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context

Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning

Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches

Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences

Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with Us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
