Descripción del puesto

About The Company

At Hovering Solutions, we’re redefining how the world inspects and digitizes indoor and underground infrastructures through Autonomous Flying Robots.

Headquartered in Spain, with our R&D hub in Madrid, we’re a steadily growing company developing cutting-edge technology that combines robotics, perception, and autonomy in some of the most challenging environments.

We value innovation, teamwork, and the active participation of every team member in the decision-making process. We strive to create a positive, inspiring workplace where you can grow, contribute, and build a long-term career with us.

About The Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing the electronic systems that power our autonomous flying robots, working across the full product lifecycle from concept to real-world deployment.

We consider a wide range of experience levels, and the scope of the role will be adapted accordingly, from hands-on development to system architecture and technical decision-making, always within a highly practical, engineering-focused environment.

If you’re passionate about hardware innovation, embedded systems, and pushing the limits of robotics, this is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the product and its evolution.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, development and validation of electronic hardware, coordinating a team of engineers and reporting to CTO. The role covers the full cycle from concept to testing, including prototyping, integration and support during field operations.

Your Responsibilities -

Core responsibilities

  • Design complex schematics and PCB layouts (including BGA, high-speed routing, thermal management, etc.) for high-density embedded systems.
  • Drive prototyping, testing, and validation of electronic systems.
  • Oversee firmware design and integration to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support integration and testing phases, including on-site operations (national and international travel may be required).
  • Define and implement quality control procedures.

Advanced responsibilities (depending on experience)

  • Define and develop hardware architectures for our autonomous platforms.
  • Take technical ownership of electronics subsystems or full products
  • Lead and mentor electronics and firmware engineers
  • Coordinate development activities and contribute to technical decision-making
  • Manage suppliers and follow up on component sourcing and production
  • Customize Linux-based operating systems to maximize hardware-software efficiency

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in electronic hardware design for embedded systems (experience in robotics, drones, or industrial devices is a plus).
  • Advanced experience with Altium Designer.
  • Strong MCU programming skills and experience optimizing hardware-software interaction (Linux device-tree expertise knowledge).
  • Familiarity with FPGA development (a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with embedded processors and high-speed communication buses (CSI, USB3.x, SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, CSI).
  • Solid understanding of power electronics, battery management, and motor drivers.
  • Skilled in hardware prototyping, debugging, and lab testing.
  • Fluent English (B2 level or higher).

What We Offer

  • Full-time, permanent contract – onsite position in Madrid, Spain.
  • Private health insurance (after 6 months of service).
  • Flexible working hours to support work–life balance.
  • Be part of a dynamic, young, and international team with a global impact.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development in a rapidly advancing technological field.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a pioneering company at the forefront of autonomous robotics.
  • Take ownership of full-cycle developments — from concept to real-world deployment.
  • Collaborate with passionate experts in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
  • Work on real-world challenges with tangible technological impact.
