Head of Sustainable Finance - Advisory - Madrid

A senior Madrid-based role for someone who wants to build a European sustainable finance and ESG advisory platform, not just deliver projects.

This is an opportunity for someone who can bring senior client relationships, commercial judgement and credible sustainable finance or ESG advisory experience to help build a European advisory offering across areas such as ESG strategy, green finance frameworks, climate risk, transition planning and regulatory advisory.

You would be working closely with senior leadership to build the market, originate work, lead client conversations and deliver advisory projects across Spain, with potential wider European exposure.

The adecuado profile would bring a strong mix of technical sustainability or sustainable finance experience, senior client engagement and commercial confidence.

It could suit someone with experience in areas such as:

• Sustainable Finance Advisory
• ESG strategy / Sustainability Advisory
• Green bonds, Social Bonds or Sustainability Finance
• Climate Risk Advisory
• CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR or wider ESG regulation

Spanish market experience and Spanish language skills would be highly useful, but this could also suit a Spanish-speaking candidate currently based elsewhere in Europe who is open to relocating to Madrid.

This is not a pure delivery role. It needs someone who is comfortable building relationships, developing opportunities and helping shape the direction of a growing advisory business.
