About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy across our EMEA warehouse network, ensuring timely stock replenishment through SAP ERP, and leading the annual inventory count process across multiple warehouse locations.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP ERP inventory processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Replenishment & SAP Transactions
- Create and manage SAP Stock Transport Orders (STOs) to replenish inventory across warehouses within the EMEA region.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely stock transfers to maintain optimal service levels.
- Review inventory availability and proactively identify replenishment requirements.
- Ensure SAP master data and inventory transactions are accurate and completed on time.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives while balancing customer demand and stock holding.
Annual Inventory Count (October – December)
- Lead and coordinate the annual physical inventory count for 83 SAP plants across the EMEA region.
- Prepare and distribute stock count files and inventory documentation to warehouse locations.
- Provide guidance and support to warehouse teams throughout the stock count process.
- Validate completed inventory counts and reconcile physical inventory against SAP system balances.
- Investigate inventory variances by analysing inventory movements, receipts, shipments, transfers, adjustments, and consumption transactions.
- Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives (CSR), Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure all inventory movements and consumption postings are completed before reconciliation
- Prepare variance reports and coordinate the approval process for inventory adjustments in accordance with company policies.
- Escalate significant inventory discrepancies to management and recommend corrective actions.
Inventory Control & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor inventory accuracy and identify trends impacting inventory integrity.
- Develop and maintain inventory reports and KPIs.
- Assist with root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Support process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit requests relating to inventory.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience working with SAP ERP in an inventory, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Experience creating and managing SAP Stock Transport Orders (STOs).
- Experience with inventory reconciliation and stock adjustment processes.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during peak inventory periods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting multiple warehouse locations or regional inventory operations.
- Knowledge of SAP Materials Management (MM) module.
