Java Senior Engineer ( REMOTE in Spain) - IT consultancy

Our client is a international firm of tech consultancy thatis working for a retailer developing a high‑performance, internet‑facing API designed to operate seamlessly across both on‑premises environments and the cloud.

We are looking for engineers with a strong technical foundation, for whom principles like the CAP theorem are not just academic concepts but practical tools used to reason about real‑world systems. We value people who understand trade‑offs in distributed architectures and can apply this knowledge when designing scalable, reliable solutions.

What are we looking for?

• University graduate with a high level of English
• More than 8 years working in complex projects in java.
• More than 8 years with Java8+
• More than 3 years with java reactive programming (Vert.x, webFlux, RxJava)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
• Write test-driven features and follow the TDD and SOLID principles and cohesive design to build scalable software.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to shape and refine features.
