The organisation builds innovative real-time digital products used daily by millions of users worldwide. Their platform focuses on creativity, self-expression, and enhancing online communication experiences through advanced audio technology.

The Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will take ownership of server-side architecture, backend services, and data infrastructure while working closely with DevOps and product teams to scale systems globally. You'll play a key role in designing performant, secure, and scalable backend solutions supporting real-time user interactions. Their tech stack includes:

Node.js (Express)

MongoDB

Redis

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Kubernetes

Docker

GitLab / CI/CD

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design new features

Optimise services for performance, scalability, and reliability

Implement security and data protection best practices

Design and manage data storage solutions

Develop reusable backend components and libraries

Contribute to testing strategies including unit and E2E testing

Requirements

5+ years' experience as a Backend Developer

Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs

Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Proven xohynlm ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Solid understanding of TDD, SOLID principles, and software design practices

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD workflows

Experience monitoring and optimising system performance
