GdC Beauty GroupThis role is responsible for defining and leading the brand’s global product portfolio and innovation strategy across both BtB and BtC channels. By transforming consumer insights, dermo-cosmetic trends, and market opportunities into science-backed, profitable products, the role ensures strategic growth and competitiveness.
Key responsibilities include leading the product architecture, driving global innovation projects from concept to launch in collaboration with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Operations), and continuously analyzing launch performance to maximize long-term business impact.
Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the global portfolio and innovation strategy across BtB and BtC channels to maximize synergies, profitability, and long-term business growth. Translate trends, competitor data, and consumer insights into a concrete, science-backed roadmap of high-impact innovation priorities.
Innovation & Development End-to-End Product Development: Partner with Brand Managers to guide new products and line extensions from concept to launch, ensuring strict execution timelines and cross-functional alignment.
Pipeline & Concept Creation: Proactively identify portfolio gaps and write strategic briefs for R&D, translating trends and consumer needs into science-backed innovation pipelines. NPD Process & Cross-Functional Coordination NPD Orchestration & Risk Management: Drive the execution of the New Product Development (NPD) process, proactively managing risks, bottlenecks, and timelines to ensure efficiency and excellence. Coordinate seamlessly with global cross-functional teams (R&D, Digital, Sales, Marketing) and maintain strong visibility with Country Managers and local markets.
Market Relevance & Commercial Viability: Gather local market feedback to build robust business cases focused on incremental growth, high business impact, and accurate forecasting.
Launch Readiness: Collaborate on global launch preparation, including storytelling, toolkits, clinical claims support, and activation planning. Performance & Strategic Decision-Making KPI Management & Evaluation: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate launch performance and continuously optimize innovation processes and business impact. Data-Led Decision Making: Use consumer insights, market opportunities, and commercial data to back all strategic decisions.
Strategic Prioritization: Prioritize projects and initiatives based on their business potential, profitability, strategic relevance, and expected ROI. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Innovation (Master’s from a top business school is a plus).
Experience: 8–10 years in portfolio strategy, product development, and innovation pipelines, strictly required within the skincare, dermo-cosmetic, or premium clinical beauty sectors. Proven track record in global portfolio architecture, premium pricing strategy, and claims development while working closely with R&D. Strategic and analytical mindset that balances scientific credibility with commercial ROI. Strong cross-functional leadership in global, multi-market environments.
