Predoctoral Researcher (Ref. PRE/26/03)

IRB Barcelona is offering a Predoctoral Position for an early stage scientist from the national and international community who wishes to join the Stress Signaling in Cancer laboratory led by Dr. Angel. R. Nebreda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plan, perform and interpret experiments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team, tapping into the expertise of fellow researchers and external collaborators.
• Contribute to a culture of scientific excellence, efficiency, and teamwork.
• Contribute to other lab projects and to the maintenance of protocols and laboratory resources in the group.
• Critically analyze analytical results, participate in scientific discussions and in preparation of diverse forms of scientific communication (seminars and conferences).
• Participate in the project activities: meetings, presentations, exchange of data sets, preparing project reports/deliverables.
• Perform excellent research according to the high standards of the lab and the IRB Barcelona.

YOU HAVE

• Bachelor and Master degrees in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biotechnology or related fields.
• At least 2 years of hands-on research experience in a biomedical lab.
• Experience in molecular biology, genetic engineering and tumor modelling, including 3D cancer models.
• Ability to design and execute experiments independently in a demanding research environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Motivation to learn, grow, and contribute to collaborative science.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE

• Experience in chemotherapy resistance mechanisms.
• Contributed to scientific publications.
• Good communication skills.
