Project Planner – Data Centre Construction

€95,000 + flights, solo accommodation, travel allowances. 10/4 rotation.
The Opportunity
A leading MEP contractor is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Madrid. This is an opportunity to become part of one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors, working on a high‑profile, technically complex project from construction through to commissioning and handover.
You will play a critical role in driving programme performance, providing accurate reporting, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring the project team delivers against key milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and performance against baseline programmes.
- Produce weekly and monthly planning reports for senior management and client stakeholders.
- Analyse critical paths, delays, constraints and programme risks.
- Support recovery planning and mitigation strategies where required.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure programme alignment.
- Monitor procurement, design and construction activities against planned milestones.
- Participate in client meetings and present programme updates.
- Support change management and programme impact assessments.
- Assist in the development of look‑ahead schedules and short‑term planning activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Planner, Construction Planner or Senior Planner.
- Strong Primavera P6 experience is essential.
- Previous experience working on large‑scale construction projects.
- Experience within data centres, mission‑critical facilities, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, energy or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies and earned value principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English required; Spanish language skills would be advantageous.
