Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; alternatively, significant work experience as a Software Engineer, with strong emphasis on Cybersecurity. ~Strong competence with Network Architecture and related technologies in AWS and/or Azure ~ Cybersecurity competence in SAST, DAST, SIEM, SSO, penetration testing, implementing cybersecurity controls. ~ Competence with Red Team / Blue Team / Purple Team tactics ~ Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response protocols ~ Competence in cryptographic controls, such as SSH key handling, logging, and auditing. ~ Candidates with AWS, Azure and/or Security certifications will be prioritized, especially AWS Certified Security, AWS Certified Advanced Networking. Additional certifications in Cybersecurity and/or Networking (CCNA, CCNP, etc) are highly desirable.

We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise‐grade cloud platforms across Azure and AWS. This role is responsible for end‐to‐end cloud infrastructure architecture, CI/CD strategy, and security posture while guiding engineering teams toward scalable, automated, and secure solutions. You will act as a technical authority on infrastructure-as-code, platform reliability, multi‐cloud networking, and DevSecOps best practices while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with leaders across development, IT, data, and security teams.

This is a hands‐on senior technical role with significant influence over cloud strategy, standards, and engineering excellence across the organisation. Architect and implement multi‐cloud platforms (Azure + AWS) with an emphasis on scalability, resilience, security, and cost‐efficiency. Lead the design of enterprise IaC frameworks using Terraform/Terragrunt, enforcing modularity, reusability, and compliance standards.

Define cloud networking architecture (hub/spoke, hybrid connectivity, firewalls, routing) and lead troubleshooting of complex network issues. Establish guardrails, governance, and best practices for cloud security, identity, encryption, data protection, and monitoring. CI/CD and DevOps Strategy Own and evolve the organisation‐wide CI/CD strategy using Azure DevOps and Bitbucket.

Architect end‐to‐end pipelines integrating automated testing, security scanning, policy enforcement, and multi‐environment deployments. Oversee platform health, performance, and cost governance across cloud workloads.

Champion

DevSecOps practices, embedding security controls into infrastructure and pipelines. Act as the senior technical point of contact for development, IT, data, networking, and security teams. Drive architectural alignment across domains and guide engineering teams during planning, reviews, and delivery. Play an active leadership role in SCRUM/Agile ceremonies, influencing planning and prioritization.

These reflect senior‐level ownership extending beyond core DevOps expectations: Lead the deployment and governance of Azure Databricks, including clusters, workspace security models, and Unity Catalog administration. Define scalable access patterns, workspace orchestration standards, and integrations across the wider cloud data ecosystem. Architect and govern multi‐environment strategies for dev/test/prod, ensuring stable, predictable releases.

Lead design and deployment of Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) and govern operational best practices. Database & Application Stack Ownership Guide SQL database configuration, operations, DR strategy, and integrations. Produce high‐quality architecture diagrams, cloud topology maps, and network schematics for engineering and leadership.

You will deploy, automate, and maintain databases primarily on Kubernetes serving 500+ developers across multiple environments.

You will work daily with Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, Ansible playbooks, and CI/CD pipelines to keep databases running reliably at scale. If you have deployed and managed any database on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MySQL, MongoDB - anything counts), and you enjoy solving real operational problems rather than just writing YAML, this role is for you. Deploy and operate databases on Kubernetes Deploy and manage database clusters using Kubernetes operators (e.g., Cloud NativePG, ECK, or any equivalent operator you have worked with).

Handle day‐to‐day database operations: provisioning, scaling, backups, failover, upgrades, and user management. Write and maintain Ansible playbooks, Helm charts, and Terraform modules for database lifecycle management. Integrate database services with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD) and secrets management (External Secrets Operator, OpenBao).

Create operational runbooks and documentation for database procedures. Collaborate with other teams on monitoring, alerting, and access control for databases. 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer role with real production responsibilities. ~ Kubernetes experience : you have deployed and operated workloads on Kubernetes in production — not just local clusters.

Database deployment experience on Kubernetes : you have deployed at least one database engine on K8s using an operator or Helm chart. You know the caveats — storage classes, backup strategies, failover behavior, data persistence. Any database counts (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, etc.). ~ Automation skills : practical experience with at least two of: Ansible, Terraform, Helm.

Linux fundamentals : comfortable with troubleshooting, networking, and system administration on Linux. ~ CI/CD familiarity : experience with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar pipeline/GitOps tools. ~ Communication : able to work effectively in English (written and spoken) in a distributed team.
