What are we looking for?We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work in a proyect with one of our client from the banking sector.
Main tasks and accountabilities will be:Build, test, and maintain reliable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data across the organisationSupport and maintain existing legacy data applications, databases, and ETL processesDefine and enforce data engineering standards, patterns, and best practicesCollaborate with product owners, software developers and DevOps to translate requirements into scalable schemas/data models for next-generation applicationsContribute to platform and infrastructure maintenance including optimising orchestration and warehouse usage, as well as cost-effective database designContribute to code reviews, pair programming and knowledge sharing
What do we expect from you?Significant experience in data engineering, with a proven ability to design and operate data pipelines at scaleStrong proficiency in SQL Server/Azure SQL and data stack tools including Azure Data Factory, dbt and AirflowSolid understanding of data warehousing in Snowflake/Microsoft Fabric and lakehouse patternsStrong practical skills in logical and physical data modelling, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnglish B2+/C1
DesirableExperience producing comprehensive documentation, including technical decision records, data dictionaries and entity relationship diagramsFamiliarity with DevOps practices such as schema drift detection and database migrations or Data Governance best practices such as cataloguing and lineageExperience supporting and maintaining relational databases and legacy applicationsKnowledge of Financial Services and relevant regulations (e.g. FCA, GDPR)
Work Location100% remote within Spain.
