We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Big Data & Analytics organisation in Madrid. You will design, build, and industrialise advanced data solutions on the Big Data Platform, supporting both internal teams and major airline customers. 🛠️ What You'll Do

Functional Collaboration

Work closely with product teams, data scientists, platform engineers, and airline customers to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Big Data solutions.

Mentorship & Teamwork

Act as a reference engineer, providing guidance on best practices, data modelling, and pipeline design.

Engineering Excellence

Design, build, and automate ETL/ELT and ML/AI pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, and Azure.

Transform raw datasets into production‑ready data products and reusable libraries. 🧠 Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Big Data engineering: Spark, Databricks, Azure, Snowflake.

Advanced programming in Scala, Python, and/or Java.

Solid knowledge of data modelling (star schema, snowflake, normalized models, Inmon/Kimball).

Experience with high‑volume datasets and automated pipelines/workflows.

DevOps mindset: Git, CI/CD, containerization practices.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and ability to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.

Analytical mindset, autonomy, adaptability, and customer focus.

Languages

Fluent English required.
