We're looking for a Senior UX Designer who is genuinely energized by the complexity of operational workflows – someone who can spend time with our ops teams, understand what slows them down, and turn those insights into designs that make hard work feel easier. Conduct regular generative and evaluative research with internal operations users – including contextual inquiry, task analysis, and usability testing Synthesize qualitative and quantitative signals (support ticket patterns, usage data, direct interviews) into clear problem definitions Design & Systems Own end‑to‑end design for HealthSource features – from early concepts through to polished, spec‑ready deliverables Contribute to and enforce consistency within Datavant’s design system, identifying components to standardize across products Design for efficiency at volume – our ops users process hundreds of requests per day, so every friction point compounds Balance short‑term iterative improvements with longer‑term systemic redesign opportunities Communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Coordinate with the broader design team on shared patterns, principles, and critique 5+ years of UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft across research, interaction design, and systems thinking ~ Strong interaction design skills – you think carefully about state, error handling, progressive disclosure, and keyboard/accessibility patterns ~ Experience contributing to or working within a design system ~ you can write a clear design brief, decision rationale, or research readout without hand‑holding Experience in healthcare, health IT, or highly regulated data environments Familiarity with release of information, medical records, or similar operational healthcare workflows Comfort working with Figma, Figjam, and basic data tools (Sigma, Looker) to pull usage context You have a clear picture of HealthSource’s biggest UX debt and have shared an initial perspective on where to focus You are the recognized design authority on HealthSource – product, eng, and ops trust your judgment You’ve pushed our design system forward in areas relevant to HealthSource Daily in‑office lunch stipend (and a fully stocked kitchen) ~ Hybrid work model: 2 days/ week in our office in Gracia ~ Commitment to professional development opportunities ~ Comprehensive private health coverage with out‑of‑network reimbursements options ~ To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post‑offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID‑19, etc. This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
