Software Engineer (Java / Microservices / OTT)

Murcia, Spain (Hybrid) We are looking for a Software Engineer on behalf of a client we provide consulting services to, operating in the OTT / video streaming industry. In this role, you will design and implement scalable integrations between internal systems and partner APIs, contributing to high-quality software solutions in a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop API integrations (internal & external) Build and maintain microservices-based architectures Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and reviews Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, DevOps, PMs) Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes Requirements Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot Solid background in microservices architecture Hands-on experience with GraphQL and gRPC Experience with REST APIs Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar SQL databases Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker (Kubernetes is a plus) Profile Passionate about technology and software development Comfortable working in a freelance / consultant environment Strong collaboration and communication skills Detail-oriented with a focus on code quality Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Location & Work Model Murcia, Spain Hybrid: 3–4 days remote per week Additional Information Freelance / contractor role (autónomo model) International team environment Occasional travel may be required during onboarding Recruitment Process HR screening Technical interview Hiring Manager interview Final discussion & offer
