DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer in our Developer Experience (DX) organization, you will play a key role in building and evolving our MCP server, which is a central piece of how Sinch APIs are discovered, understood, and consumed by external developers and agentic platforms. This role is open to candidates based in Spain, from our offices in Madrid.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a core contributor to our MCP server, participating in its design, implementation, and long-term evolution.

Design and implement discoverable and standards-compliant Node.js / TypeScript services to make Sinch APIs easy to consume for developers and agentic frameworks.

Collaborate closely with Product Management, SDK, and documentation teams to ensure a cohesive developer and agent experience.

Define and implement API standards, build robust authentication, and ensure high levels of reliability, observability, and test coverage.

Actively gather feedback for continuous improvement and participate in architectural discussions around agentic protocols and emerging standards.

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js and TypeScript.

Solid experience designing and building backend services and REST APIs, with a good understanding of API contracts, schema-driven development (e.g., OpenAPI, Zod), and authentication patterns.

Proven experience working on developer-facing platforms, SDKs, or tooling, with a strong interest in developer experience and usability as key success metrics.

Familiarity with modern software development practices, including testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and building production-grade systems.

Comfort working in a role where developer experience and usability are key success metrics.

Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain) or AI-enabled developer tools is a plus.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.
