STACKIT Database - PostgreSQL - Software Engineer(m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Hyperscale Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, hyper-scalable services using Golang . You will contribute to architectures that support sharding, load-balancing, and complex multi-region setups with advanced replication.
  • Scale through Automation: Design and implement automated PostgreSQL deployments and lifecycle management using PostgreSQL Operators in Kubernetes. Your goal is creating automation so powerful that our scale multiplies without increasing manual operational effort.
  • Database Administration & Development: Oversee PostgreSQL databases at both the development and administration levels, optimizing performance, ensuring data integrity, and troubleshooting complex database challenges at a massive scale.
  • Product Ownership: Take technical responsibility for the PostgreSQL Flex product, ensuring it matches or exceeds the capabilities of non-sovereign competitors to facilitate easy migrations for our customers.
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage deployments, resilience, and lifecycle operations of cloud applications in a sovereign Kubernetes environment.

Your Profile

• Professional Experience: Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, Cloud Developer, or Database Engineer, with a mindset geared toward hyperscale and rapid growth.
• Programming Skills: Strong, hands-on programming experience in Golang
• Cloud & Containerization: Deep understanding and practical experience with Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, and cloud-native service operations.
• Database Expertise: Proven experience with PostgreSQL databases at development or administration level. Experience with high availability, read-only replicas, and multi-region database architectures is highly desirable.

• Operator Pattern: Hands-on experience deploying and managing PostgreSQL databases using PostgreSQL Operators in a cloud environment.

• Language: Business fluent in English (German is a plus).
