System Administrator Role Overview A System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on servers, storage, operating systems, and data protection. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) on servers and desktops. Manage system updates, security patches, and software installations.
Monitor system performance and resolve OS-related issues. Manage storage systems such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage. Implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Maintain and troubleshoot physical hardware, including servers, desktops, and peripherals.
Manage/perform server hardware setup, replacement, software and hardware upgrades, including security patching. Oversee hardware procurement and configuration for organizational needs. Enforce security protocols, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring.
Perform implementation activities and execute testing tasks related to disaster recovery of EPO (Enterprise Policy Orchestrator). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. LINUX administration certification.
Microsoft Certified Systems
Administrator (MCSA). Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS). PowerShell, Bash). Focus on delivering a positive user experience.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other IT professionals and departments.
