I'm a multilingual professional (native French, Spanish & Catalan - high English) with academic and additional training in Psychology and HR, experience mostly in Learning Administration and Recruitment in international and fast-paced environments, and a member of the Catalan Official College of Psychology. My main goal is to continue building my career in the HR field.
Finding a job in HR has been (and still is) difficult for me because I don't have that much experience in this field and because of the stigma against unemployed people, but I have delivered results despite of that:
*
If you need to hire someone in your HR team and give more importance to skills, attitude, knowledge, getting the job done, work ethics, potential, etc. than the years of experience in x, y or z, or when was the last time I worked with this or that, or how long I've been unemployed for (basically, if you don't label people), let's work together!
The main responsibilities associated with this role were:
Own the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting to sending job offers and collecting candidate documentation.
Implement a new interview structure, leading to the improvement of new hire quality (75% of new hires successfully passed the training period, vs. about 50% before I joined the company).
Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on various People-related topics.
Promote people programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
Initiate, create and assist in employee engagement activities.
Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
However, due to my short tenure in the company, I only ended up doing recruitment, preboarding tasks, handling of employee inquiries, and data entry/update.
When I joined the company there was a strong need of recruitment, which would decrease at the end of the year and increase again the following year, but in the end the business needs changed and management decided to stop the headcount increase. As there were already enough people in the HR department, my role had to be eliminated.
At CPM International (an international contact center) I was in charge of sourcing, attracting and engaging talent to join our team in Spain, the UK and Slovakia. I worked mainly for their biggest client, Dyson, recruiting specifically for the French, Nordics and Polish markets (and sometimes also for the Italian and Turkish markets). I also worked for a new client, Withings (recruiting for the French market), and provided support to other campaigns when needed.
During my time at CPM International, I also experienced the implementation of an ATS (Workable) (and, in all honesty, that was a blessing).
I handled the recruitment of mainly customer service positions and, occasionally, non-agent roles (Office Administrators, Real Time Efficiency Monitors, and Planning Specialists).
Attracting candidates through different sourcing methods (corporate website, ATS, job boards, referral programs, social media, database, etc.).
Screening applications and conduct phone interviews.
Scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Managing between 150 and 200 vacancies yearly, hitting the recruitment targets within the required deadlines in 90% of cases, and exceeding them in some occasions.
Sending job offers, collect candidate documentation, and create pre-hire forms in the HRIS.
Inserting and updating candidate data in ATS, HRIS and other platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
Collaborating with external recruitment agencies when needed, serving as a point of contact.
In August 2021, CPM International opened a new EMEA hub in Bratislava, Slovakia. Just like the Barcelona hub, this new contact center would have Dyson as its main client. However, there was also a recruitment team there, and in May 2022 a decision was made to downsize the Barcelona recruitment team, leading to the layoff of half its members, myself included.
At Conduent (formerly Affiliated Computer Services and Xerox, a BPO company) I was providing administrative and logistical support to the clients' trainings. My main duties were handling requests through ticketing systems:
Manage the LMS by creating, cancelling and updating courses, enrolling and unenrolling learners, updating learner attendance, and generating participants lists and certificates.
Coordinate course logistics: room booking/setup; catering; invitations, pre-training or post-training assignments; feedback surveys.
Respond to inquiries and requests from learners and program managers.
Ensure compliance with training policies and SLAs, completing the tasks and closing all tickets with at least 98% of accuracy and timeliness, thanks to which I was offered the responsibility of carrying out QA tasks.
As some projects were relocated to other locations, I ended up working for different clients (Credit Suisse, Atos, Eli Lilly), adapting to their different ways of working, tasks, policies, software, etc. and being part of different global teams. We also received requests from multiple countries.
The contract ended because the company closed different sites as part of a change in their business needs, and the site I was working at was one of them.
