April Quillen

I live in Rockwall, TX which is located outside the Dallas metroplex. I am married and have four beautiful children and my youngest is 16 years old. I love being a Labor and Delivery nurse but I am reaching the point of being an empty nester and would like to be able to a schedule that is little closer to my husband and son's schedules.

During nursing school I was a Nurse Extern on a Medsurg floor and in the RN float pool for a short period after graduation. # months after graduation I took an intern position and trained in Mother Baby for 6 moths then transitioned to my training in Labor and Delivery where I have been for the last 20 years. I have worked the bedside the entire time as a staff nurse a charge nurse and as a Clinical staff leader.

I started my educations at Louisiana State University in Early Childhood education then after 2 years changed my major to Nursing where I received my Associate Degree in Nursing from Tyler Junior College in Tyler,TX. After practicing for 8 years I obtained my RNC-OB which is Registered Nurse Certification, Inpatient Obstetrics.
