Cindy Goudsblom

My name is Cindy Goudsblom. I'm 33 year old Dutch fashion designer currently living in Barcelona Spain. My friends would describe me as a loyal, open minded, non-conformance, extravagant risk taker.

My experience in the field of product development/product management is very broad. From the high/luxury segment to the discount market. My first real learning experience was at fashion house Ilja Visser. Here I contributed to the couture & ready to wear collections. 

 

January 2015 I graduated at Amsterdam Fashion Institute and obtained my Bachelors degree in Fashion Management. In 2016 I stared working as Head of Design at dutch lingerie brand Sapph. Here I was responsible for the concept en designs of the seasonal lingerie and swimwear collections. In addition to lingerie & swimwear, I also developed luxury nightwear & lounge collections for our collaborations with Benelux celebrities such as Fajah Lourens and Karen Damen. After working here for 2,5 years I made the transfer to a more commercial company Undies International. 

 

Undies International is a company specialised in private label body wear collection for the discount market. Starting as a designer I became styling and buying manger and later promoted in the role of commercial director. In addition to this I also worked for another company "Proud Fashion" which is part of the same holding as Undies international. Here I worked as styling and buying manager and later as commercial director. This company is licensee , manufacturer and distributor of Australian and Quick. Which provide the low and middle segments in the European market. This company is specialised in casual, lounge, sports and leisure wear. For both companies I was responsible for monitoring the whole proces, starting from sourcing till distribution to the retailers. 

 

After four years I changed directions to pursue my passion project. In January 2022 Nena was born. A upcycling brand with beautifully crafted pieces, that are sustainable and celebrate true individuality. The brand is based in Barcelona and for the production we work with local manufacturers.
