With a rich and diversified career in the aeronautical industry, I bring forth a vast array of skills and experiences that span across engineering,
strategic supplier management, financial skills, and educational roles.
My journey has evolved from technical expertise in powerplant and systems engineering to a leadership position in vendor management within the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Powerplant section of the Supplier Partnership Management (SPM) department. This progression reflects my ability to manage complex supplier relationships, drive significant cost-saving initiatives, and lead strategic negotiations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
In my latest role as Manager of OEM and Powerplant Vendor Management,
I have taken the lead in crafting and executing strategies for businesscritical suppliers, particularly focusing on the engine sector. This responsibility entails a deep dive into insourcing and outsourcing opportunities,
optimizing the company’s cost base in alignment with strategic goals. My role demands excellence in defining negotiation tactics for critical supplier categories, providing expert advice on contractual nuances, managing a budget of 350 million with a saving management of 100 million, and delivering persuasive recommendations to the company’s top executives.
My foundational roles as Maintenance Planner, Technical Records Officer,
and Powerplant Engineering Supervisor have equipped me with a thorough understanding of industry operations, contributing to my comprehensive skill set. Concurrently, my part-time position as an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Castelldefels has been instrumental in honing my abilities in communication and leadership, emphasizing the value of knowledge sharing for growth and development.
Adaptable and quick to assimilate new skills, I am dedicated to improving processes and continuously enhancing my competencies. My recent contributions include coordinating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and tenders,
performing spend analysis to identify efficiency opportunities, managing business cases to advocate for savings initiatives or supplier contracts,
and leading team coordination and management. Reporting to the
SPM Director, my role involves providing insights on savings initiatives,
cost variances, and developing strategies for risk mitigation and continuous improvement with critical suppliers.
