Junior software developer with a background Doctorate in Oceanography.
My Ph. D. has given me experience in experimental design and scientific project management with a commitment to high-quality results as shown by the Ph.D. thesis awarded summa cum laude.
During my years in academia I developed skills such as data analysis, method development, problem-solving, testing procedures, jointly with expertise on enzymes, nutrients, respiratory metabolism, and marine biology.
My contributions to scientific literature can be consulted in 9 publications, (2 as first authors). It was also divulgated in 10 posters and oral presentations for international congresses, and 3 invited lectures.
I have worked teaching at the ULPGC for 200h biology, biodiversity and physiology concepts and producing 2 minor publications and contributions to congresses on innovation in education. Besides my job at the university I participated in around 9 workshops divulgating science to the public. All this experiences have trained my attentive and creative communication skills.
However, I have spent the last 2 years adapting for the future and developing my computing skills to set foot into the world of software developing and data analysis. Precisely, autonomously with the guidance of a senior developer mentor I have produced a series of java based repositories while learning git, javaFXML, PostgreSQL and Spring for development of software, applications and services. Jointly I have collaborated with a multidisciplinary studio in the production of videos, simple software using P5js and AR filter using SparkAR.
