Agile Scrum - Project Management
After leaving school and taking a year out to travel and study in Japan, I worked in recruitment and HR from 1999 until 2006 when I decided to attend university to study applied linguistics. During this time, I worked for an agency as a recruitment coordinator for Sony. As their in house representative at the factory, I was responsible for a daily labour pool to cover absences on the production line at Sony. I was required to work with HR and production managers at Sony and the agency to arrange cover as well as be a point of contact for employees at Sony.
I later worked for Orion in-house in HR as a Personnel Assistant before going to University in 2006.
After graduating, I worked on a temporary basis for agencies recruiting Amazon temporary staff for the Xmas season. We worked with an extremely high volume of candidates. I was responsible for sourcing and screening candidates from the local area reporting to HR at Amazon. Onsite visits and addressing employee concerns/payroll issues.
I decided that that I would like to learn some new skills and so took a marketing internship at a translation company. I worked in marketing from 2011 to 2014 eventually working as marketing manager before I relocated to Spain in 2015.
I have worked as an English teacher for the last six years and at the same time, I have started to learn to code. With my newfound knowledge, I have been able to help software engineers, product managers and tech professionals speak better English and get better jobs. Over the last six months, my work has focussed on helping candidates practice for HR and technical interviews.
