Motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in obtaining the desired results and the ability to collaborate effectively and positively in a team composed of heterogeneous professional figures: the experience gained last year, during the Research Fellowship, has allowed me to grow a lot on both professional and human side, thanks to the close contact with leading companies in the Italian territory (Tetra Pack, CNH, Baker Hughes). Able to work hard in any role and commit to achieving results with a strong understanding of operations, services, and applications. I'm now ready to try my best in a company willing to accompany me in achieving my career goals and to benefit from my skill set and energetic attitude.
My past work experience as a researcher at XiLab involved developing applications in virtual and augmented reality for companies in the local area. My team's main goal was to improve quality control using augmented reality and operator working conditions using virtual reality. We specifically worked on creating applications that enhanced the quality control process by using augmented reality to display information directly on the product or the working place, making it easier and more accurate for operators to inspect the quality of the products.
Additionally, me and my team developed virtual reality applications that simulated dangerous or challenging work environments in order to provide safe and realistic training for operators before they encountered real situations. This also aimed to improve overall working conditions and prevent accidents. We also were responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from analyzing the current conditions (AS-IS), to estimating the project (TO-BE), to its creation and implementation, and finally to reviewing the project once completed.
This includes tasks like gathering user requirements, identifying potential challenges and risks, developing project timelines and budgets, designing and testing prototypes, and conducting user acceptance testing before implementation, and final evaluation of the project results.
I studied industrial engineering during my undergraduate degree at the University of Perugia, and then went on to study mechanical engineering for my master's degree at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Choosing to specialize in mechanical engineering allowed me to create a broader background that is applicable to various industries, as well as to develop a mindset that is useful in the engineering field.
During my undergraduate degree, I gained a solid foundation in the fundamentals of engineering and acquired general knowledge about various engineering fields. After that, I decided to continue my education by pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering. This allowed me to specialize in a specific area of engineering and deepen my knowledge in this field.
Mechanical engineering is a wide field that covers many subsectors, including design, manufacturing, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, systems dynamics, and structural mechanics.
Furthermore, choosing to specialize in mechanical engineering has allowed me to create a broader background that is applicable to various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, energy, biomedical, and many others. Additionally, my education in mechanical engineering has given me a mindset that is useful for solving complex technical problems, which is a very important quality in the engineering field.
Overall, my educational experience has been interesting and well-structured, and my choice to specialize in mechanical engineering has provided me with a comprehensive education that may offer me many opportunities in my future career.
