I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts and am currently working as a conversation assistant in Madrid, Spain. I have a passion for inspiring young children to find a love for learning through exploration and collaboration. I enjoy working with a team to create the best possible outcomes for my students.

Student Intern, 2nd Grade, Kindergarten 

• Taught as a student intern in a kindergarten and a second-grade classroom in Title 1 schools where I worked collaboratively with mentor teachers to unpack curriculums to create engaging and effective lessons
• Took over full responsibilities for a week in each school by lesson planning and executing all lessons and classroom management
• Observed different teaching styles to manage behaviors and engage different kinds of learners
• Attended Professional developments to learn how to effectively plan and grow my knowledge on race and equity in order to be a culturally responsive educator

Language Assistant

• Created daily lessons in English to enrich and support English language learners in their vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and fluency 
• Collaborated with nine different teachers in multiple different subject areas to prepare effective and engaging lessons 
• Reflected and taught about different cultural aspects of schools between the US and Spain 

Castle Hills Elementary, Teacher Aide

• Supervised students in grades K-5 and implementing activities that encourage student creativity

• Taught a group of 5, first-grade students from a Reggio Emilia-inspired school using their online program during the pandemic
• Worked closely with parents and cultivated a learning experience inspired by the student's interests and based on exploration
