I graduated with honours with a degree in English teaching.
In my working life I had the chance so far to work at all the levels. Before my degree finished in 2009, I became a Foreign Language Assistant in the United Kingdom through the British Council. This experience and my degree led me to be appointed as university lecturer upon my return to Venezuela, I worked there for 3 years teaching intermediate English to adults.
I have worked at different English academies teaching Business and General English to young learners and adults. I was hired in 2016 by the British Council Venezuela to be part of a project for which I had to write materials for EFL students, there I enhanced my planning techniques.
I worked as the Academic Director in an academy in Madrid where I was responsible for recruiting new teachers, training them so they can teach different official English exams (such as Aptis ESOL, Cambridge, LanguageCert and TOEIC), making sure they are using our methodology correctly, teaching some classes and also tutoring an online platform where there are more than 500 students. Also, I have been working as a Speaking Examiner and Invigilator for the Official Cambridge Exams for over 3 years so I can say I am highly familiarised with the standards and criteria of the CEFR.
