Gloria Cabañas Pujadas

My name is Gloria Cabañas Pujadas and I am specialised in Epidemiology and bioinformatics. Now I am searching for a researcher opportunity in Gothenburg related with the bioinformatics and molecular biology fields.

My key skills are that I am a quick learner, as well as a highly motivated person. I am passionate about what I do and I work hard due to my perseverance and great capacity for work. That is why I am convinced that I would be a valuable addition to the company, also because of my courage to get involved in new projects that stimulate me, specially those abroad.

Since I completed my Master’s degree at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid last year, I have been working for the Epidemiology Service at the General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (Spain), as a researcher on a childhood obesity prospective cohort named Longitudinal Childhood Obesity Study (ELOIN), performing the data analysis, data collecting and studying the multiple associations between obesity and potential risk factors.

Regarding my mollecular, biology and biostatistics knowledge, my background and professional experience allows me to get a good command on science research and public health issues related in terms of impact on population. Also, my previous studies in the Master’s degree in Epidemiology allowed me to learn all the statistical methodology and data analysis skills requiered to deal with big data, and to be able to disclose the results obtained by publishing in scientific journals.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Epidemiology and Public Health.
