Harry John Coulson

I am a Graphic Designer looking to relocate to Canada. I am currently based in Madrid, Spain. I have spent the last few years specialising mostly in Packaging Design. However, I am interested in many forms of Design. I am driven and lie to be involved in many fascinating projects. I enjoy using my creative skills in order to solve problems and overcome obstacles.

I currently work at one of the most prestigious packaging design companies in Europe, Lacía, as a Graphic Designer. My job involves designing new and exciting packaging to capture the attention of consumers and revamping the branding of various companies. Throughout my time at Lacía, my determination, initiative, and problem-solving skills have been at the forefront of my work as I tackled challenges and designed creative solutions. A good work ethic is paramount in this industry and my time at Lacía, a high pressure and high expectations environment, has only strengthened my self-discipline.

I studied at a prestigious University of the Arts, AUB, in Bournemouth. I studied a BA in Illustration and over my time in the Illustration course, I honed my creative skills. I developed strong drawing and sketching abilities and became adept in the Adobe software programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Lightroom). I used my time at University to absorb as much knowledge as I could from my experienced tutors, and training my critical eye in terms for design. Self-evaluation was a key element of this course and a strategy I continue to improve and grow in this field.
