Ph.D. in Economic Geology. Supervisors: Fernando Tornos & John M. Hanchar: Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain | (10/2019-02/2024). Research: Geochronology and Isotope Geochemistry of Sn-W Deposits in the Iberian Variscan Massif.
- Completed field work and sampling of more than 40 Sn-W deposits in Galicia, Extremadura, Salamanca, and Zamora in Spain and Portugal.
- Utilized analytical techniques including EPMA, SEM, 40Ar-39Ar geochronology in mica, LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of zircon, monazite and cassiterite, Re-Os dating in molybdenite, Sr-Nd isotope geochemistry in ore mineral separates and bulk rock concentrates, in-situ B and O isotopes in tourmaline, and S isotopes in sulfides. Includeding data acquisition, data reduction, and data interpretation.
- Developed a priori thermodynamic models.
- Completed a 6-month research stay at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.
Master's Degree in Geology Applied to Mineral and Energy Resources (Specializing in Mineral Resources): University of Granada, Spain | (10/2017-10/2018). Grade: 8.97 / 10.0. Highest grade in the class. Honors in Geochemistry and Ore Deposits in Magmatic Environments. Thesis:
Preliminary Study of the Distribution of Platinum Group Elements (PGE) in Copper Porphyry Deposits of Different Magmatic Arcs. This study evidenced the presence of platinum group minerals (PGM) in some porphyry deposits and investigated trends in geotectonic context, intrusive affinity, and deposit type.
