Univeris (formerly TechRules) Senior Product Owner / Product Consultant 2022 – 2026

• Univeris' internal wealth management platform (EWMS) needed to be unified with TechRules' TOWER platform following the acquisition — two complementary systems covering advisor-facing portfolio management (TOWER) and market-facing order execution (EWMS).

• Selected to represent the Innovation department on a 2-week on-site engagement in Toronto, Canada, in late 2022 — alongside the Development Manager and Consulting Manager — with the mandate of overseeing the integration and ensuring no development compromised TOWER's stability and UX/UI.

• The wider integration project continued through 2023 and into part of 2024.

• Gathered requirements and defined new functionality resulting from the merger of both systems, incorporating Canadian market-specific legislation and requirements Acted as the "translator" between two different product cultures

• Mapping EWMS terminology, data fields, and business processes onto TOWER's structure and language

• Led the replacement of EWMS's outdated advisor and client-facing interfaces with TOWER's superior UX, incorporating Canada-specific fields and processes into the client, portfolio, and asset records

• Directly delivered: two-factor authentication (2FA) via email/SMS PIN on the Client Portal; expired-password alert with automatic password reset flow; toggle between MWR (money-weighted return) and TWR (time-weighted return) performance views

• Recognized internally as the go-to reference for UX/UI judgment and platform-wide functional coherence, given prior end-to-end experience across Gear Investments and T-Advisor

TechRules Product Owner / Product Consultant 2014 – 2022

• Defined product features and functional requirements for wealth management platforms

- Key product — TOWER / Univeris Advisor — Core Wealth Management Platform 2014-2026

• The company's flagship, revenue-generating product: a full-cycle wealth management platform for private banks, independent advisors, brokers, and insurers, MiFID II-compliant.

• Sold globally post-acquisition as "Univeris Advisor." Clients include Santalucía AM, Andbank, BBVA, DNB, BNP Paribas Fortis, Comdirect, GBM, Actinver, ScotiaBank, Mercantil Servicios de Inversión (MSI), Bulltick, Novobanco, and Lafise, I acted as a consultant in all of theses projects once o several times.

• Acted as lead consultant on the TOWER → TOWER 3.0 migration, modernizing a platform originally built in 2000, progressive migration of legacy functionality, new APIs, and a more efficient backend

• Defined and led the Campaigns module, enabling advisors to launch client-acquisition campaigns segmented by client profile to grow AUM

• Brought T-Advisor's (other company products) asset research/discovery functionalities over to TOWER (Asset Research module)

• Defined the ESG asset profile, surfacing sustainability-criteria asset quality to advisors

• Fully defined the Fund Transfer module: configuration of internal fund-to-fund transfers (Spain's tax-advantaged "traspasos"), including the ability to "break" a transfer and convert it into a straightforward buy/sell

• Contributed to the Investment Proposal module's custom restrictions engine, incorporating entity-specific rules and resolving conflicts where different financial institutions' requirements collided within the same platform — leveraging cross-project knowledge to anticipate edge cases

• Led the redesign of the client/portfolio profile view, creating a more visually attractive and configurable interface to strengthen the platform's commercial appeal

• Built the entity-level style customization system (a full "style book" mechanism), enabling each financial institution to apply its own visual identity across

- Key product — T-Advisor — Digital Investment Platform 2016-2019

• A multi-entity investment portfolio tracking and management platform (mytadvisor.com), distributed in partnership with Rankia (online investor community), reaching roughly 20,000 registered users via automatic account provisioning for Rankia members opening an investment portfolio.

• Owned data quality: periodic review of metrics and data to catch outliers, missing data, and client-requested assets pending catalog addition Served as the direct channel for client feedback — collecting feature requests, identifying improvement opportunities, and relaying reported issues

• Designed and applied an asset recommendation system using collaborative filtering plus additional scoring/ranking criteria, applied to the platform's Clients → Portfolios → Assets data structure — originating from your Master's thesis in Data Science, applied directly to a real T-Advisor business case (framed as data-informed product definition, not a developer/data-scientist role)

• Led functional definition, UX, and UI for the new portfolio creator tool, enabling clients to set up new investment portfolios with their own assets, per a business-driven request Defined a "lite" version of the platform with reduced data load, optimized for lower-resource devices

• Contributed to a platform offering advanced functionality: portfolio manager with risk analytics (VaR, beta, Sharpe ratio), per-asset "T-Report," a 7-goal financial planning tool, portfolio optimizer (efficient frontier), asset watchlists, alerts, quantitative investment ideas, clonable model portfolios, an investor community feature, and gamification (achievements, medals, rankings)

- Key product — Gear Investments — UK Roboadvisor (FCA-regulated) 2014-2016

• A showcase platform built by TechRules to demonstrate its capability to build high-value financial software infrastructure — the strategic goal was B2B credibility to sell roboadvisor solutions to other financial institutions, not direct AUM/revenue generation (internal context only, not for external candidacy materials).

• Brought onto the project specifically for an engineering/structured-thinking background rather than a finance or tech pedigree — tasked with designing the platform's full functional flow from a first-principles, client perspective

• Owned end-to-end product definition: functional flow, UX/UI (working alongside an external design provider), and functional QA validation of the built platform (frontend, backend, and engines) after development Benchmarked dozens of existing roboadvisor platforms to identify standard sector functionality and spot potential differentiators

• Designed and built the model portfolios: asset stock-picking within defined technical criteria by risk level, applying Markowitz optimization for allocation Coordinated with a UK legal firm to achieve a regulated FCA launch in under nine months Successfully investigated and resolved a critical incident where the custodian provided an incorrect price (GBP/GBX pence-vs-pounds mismatch) during a portfolio rebalance, which triggered mass credit-based purchases and left several portfolios in a negative balance — proved the error originated with the custodian, protecting the company from liability

• Following Santalucía's acquisition of fund managers Alpha Plus and Aviva Gestión, the insurer launched a technology overhaul; TechRules was contracted to build the client-facing digital investment portal (registration, tracking, fund contributions/redemptions, responsive mobile), alongside an advisor portal built on TOWER.

• Applied experience from Gear Investments to define the client portal's functional needs, picking up from the end of Santalucía's pre-defined onboarding/data-capture process to define the full post-onboarding portal experience

• Defined the client-entity alert and communication system: regulatory/operational alerts (e.g., outdated ID document requiring renewal to keep operating), security alerts (password changes), and relationship-building alerts (birthday greetings)

• Managed the functional logic for client data-change scenarios Supported the integration department by verifying correct data migration from the legacy Aviva Gestión/Alpha Plus databases, confirming the platform ran error-free post-migration

• Delivered under tight deadlines and strict delivery conditions in a post-merger context where data integrity and regulatory compliance were critical — portal launched successfully

• Demonstrates the platform's reusability. Adaptation of Client Portal core for different institutions and regions.

- Key product — Bulltick4U (Mexico/LatAm fintech, U.S.-dollar investment accounts via Interactive Brokers as broker/custodian) 2021-2022

• Adapted Interactive Brokers' onboarding/KYC-AML requirements to Bulltick4U's needs while maximizing reuse of TOWER's existing processes — balancing three sets of requirements (IB, Bulltick4U, TOWER architecture) instead of building from scratch

• Managed friction from IB's frequent last-minute requirement changes while keeping the project on tight deadlines — delivered successfully

• Extended TOWER 3.0's entity-level style customization to the onboarding flow, anticipating future multi-client reuse

• Defined the functional and UX design of a standout commercial feature: themed model portfolios (eSports & Gaming, Health, eMobility, Green Energy, Digital, Artificial Intelligence), selectable by the client within their risk profile after the risk assessment — focused on how these were presented and made commercially appealing, not on the underlying asset-selection criteria Coordinated across three organizations (TechRules–Bulltick–Interactive Brokers) with continuous monitoring to keep all parties aligned

• Client Portal adaptation without onboarding, several collaborations with the consulting team.

- Key product — Mediafin — Beursrally / L'Investisseur (Rallye Boursier)

• A stock-market simulation game for Mediafin, a leading Belgian financial media group (De Tijd, L'Echo, De Belegger/L'Investisseur).

• Participants trade real listed securities with a virtual €50,000 portfolio over ~10 weeks, competing for real cash prizes (winner typically €10,000+), culminating in an official bell-ringing ceremony at Euronext.

• Gathered requirements and defined the game platform, building on the T-Advisor foundation with a strong gamification layer

• Defined the asset profile view, the user/portfolio profile (including visibility of other participants' positions), the daily ranking system, and the participant/portfolio listing Directly involved across roughly 3 editions of the game — the first (built from scratch) was by far the most complex; subsequent editions had lower complexity as the platform base was already in place

• Played a key role in building a digital wealth management platform (Roboadvisor) from scratch under FCA regulation, in under nine months, helping define the MVP, client journeys, model portfolios (Markowitz optimization), and core product features in collaboration with business and development teams Owned data quality, feature definition, and a collaborative-filtering-based asset recommendation system for a multi-entity investment platform serving roughly 20,000 registered users
